FAQ

To schedule your first appointment, you may contact me via phone or email. I respond to inquiries usually within 24 hours.

Eric Blencowe, The Ferns, 3 Grove Road, Fishponds, Bristol BS16 2BJ

In my practice I aim to offer a safe and compassionate space where clients can explore their challenges confidentially and without judgement. I offer short and long-term counselling, depending on each client's individual and unique needs and wishes.

I am an integrative therapist, which means I do not adhere to one specific theory underlying counselling practice, but combine a number in response to individual clients' needs.

My role is to be with you as you make sense of your feelings, thoughts and behaviours and to support you in moving forward so that you can realise your full potential.

Approaching counselling for the first time can be difficult and provoke its own anxieties. I offer a £25 initial consultation, lasting up to 50 minutes. This is intended to get some background to the reasons why you have decided to come to counselling. You can also use this as an opportunity to ask any questions about me and about the counselling process, and to discuss any concerns you may have. It is also an opportunity for us to meet and get a sense of whether we can work together. My experience includes working with younger people as well as older clients. I have worked at two counselling charaties over the past two years.

I have worked with clients who have presented with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress (including work-related), historic and current bullying, low-self esteem, trauma, post-traumatic stress, relationships, and adult survivors of child abuse, amongst others.
